The new system is simply named 'GetCash' and Natwest will be working alongside RBS to make it as successful and as effective as possible. GetCash will allow Natwest customers to send a six digit code either to themselves or to someone else. This code can then be entered into a cash machine owned by either Natwest or RBS allowing the person entering the code to withdraw a pre-set amount of money. GetCash can be used numerous times in a day and for transactions of any amount in of course multiples of ten.
The withdrawal limit for a single transaction using GetCash will initially be 100 but there is a possibility that this will increase once the system has been in place for a while. Customers will be able to use the system to send money to anyone they want to such as their children, partners or even to pay for services such as a tradesperson. This will not only make sending money far easier but it could also help to get family members out of trouble if they ever get stuck.
